Getting started

You need an account, the CLI and something listening on a local port. It takes about a minute.

1. Create an account

Sign up at https://addtothese.com/register with your email, Google or GitHub. The Free plan needs no card.

2. Download the CLI

Get the binary for your system from the download page. On macOS and Linux, make it executable and put it on your PATH.

3. Log in

Create an API token under API tokens in the dashboard, then save it on your machine:

addtothese login --token att_...

The token is stored in ~/.addtothese/config.yaml (%USERPROFILE%\.addtothese\config.yaml on Windows). In CI, set ADDTOTHESE_TOKEN instead.

4. Open a tunnel

addtothese http 3000

The CLI prints a public URL such as https://quiet-summit-0247.addtothese.com. Requests to it reach localhost:3000. On the Free plan these random endpoints last 8 hours.

5. Keep the same URL

On Pro or Team, reserve a name once under Endpoints and reuse it every time:

addtothese http 3000 --subdomain myapp
