Terms of service
Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Nordic Byte LTD (company number 16978110, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom), which operates AddToThese. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use AddToThese for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf.
1. The service
AddToThese forwards traffic from public URLs to services you run, through an outbound connection opened by our command-line client. What each plan includes is described on the pricing page. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on during a period you have already paid for.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18, give a real email address and keep your password and API tokens secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account and tokens. Tell us straight away at info@nordicbyte.co.uk if you think your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
Your public URLs carry our domain, so how they are used matters to every customer. You must not use AddToThese to:
- host phishing pages, impersonate another person or organisation, or collect credentials or payment details under false pretences;
- distribute malware, run command-and-control servers or botnets, or relay spam;
- attack, scan or overload systems you are not authorised to test;
- publish content that is illegal in the United Kingdom, including child sexual abuse material, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- avoid plan limits, resell the service without our written agreement, or interfere with the service or other customers.
We may suspend an endpoint or account immediately, without notice, when we reasonably believe it breaks these rules or a law, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities. To report abuse, write to info@nordicbyte.co.uk with the URL and what you saw.
4. Names and custom domains
A reserved subdomain is yours to use while your account is on a plan that includes it. We may reclaim names that are reserved words, impersonate a brand, or are left unused on a cancelled account. You must own or control any custom domain you connect.
5. Payment
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Prices are shown in euros and exclude VAT where VAT applies. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and we do not refund partial periods except where the law requires it. If a payment fails, we may move the account to the Free plan after Stripe's retry period. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email of any price increase for your plan.
6. Consumers in the UK and EU
If you are a consumer, you keep all rights the law gives you, and nothing in these terms limits them. You agree that a paid plan starts immediately when you subscribe, and you acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right to cancel for any part of the service already supplied; you can still cancel future renewals at any time.
7. Availability
We work to keep AddToThese available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, and tunnels can drop and reconnect. Do not rely on AddToThese as the only way to reach a system where failure could cause injury or serious loss.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or EUR 50 if you are on the Free plan.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using AddToThese at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end this agreement with 30 days' notice by email, or immediately if you seriously break section 3. When the agreement ends your endpoints stop working and your reserved names are released.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that affect your rights we will email you at least 30 days before they apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you may also bring proceedings where you live and you keep the protection of its mandatory consumer law.
